I’m given to understand that “it’s over,” though what it is I can’t be sure. The truth is there has been a wait for so many things ‘to be over’ for such a long time, that we have begun to wish our lives away. How can time drag on, yet fly by? How can today feel like yesterday, when it is already getting closer to tomorrow? Each ending giving rise to new beginnings and surely if the cyclical nature of existence continues to fill our time, how then can ‘it’ ever be over? Even at the end of ones life is the baton not passed, or is it a torch? A flame carried throughout millennia faltering, dwindling, but never fading.
