Is there such a thing as failure if you can continue to try. Failed attempts, but of course, failed starts, failed projects? I wonder that these things are less certain. A failed start implies a sense of expectation of failure to begin, few go into ventures that they believe will fail, even when things go quickly wrong, we can blind ourselves with hope and perseverance until we must admit defeat. A failed project is also unlikely to truly occur, we can abandon our work and change our minds, but even when we walk away from things that are not working we are learning, we are growing, we are adapting and in time when we try again, if we try again, we are less likely to fail as a result. Novels are drafted and edited, houses measured and drawn on paper before they are built. Things which don’t work at first are amended, edited until the smallest details are perfect and that is I think what life is. A series of tiny edits in an ongoing story, as we go ever on we never fail…as long as we are willing to learn.
